Police: I-66 driver killed when pedestrian jumped from overpass

It happened on the eastbound lanes of I-66 at the Cedar Lane overpass near Nutley Street in Fairfax County around 4 p.m.
WASHINGTON The impact from a pedestrians fall from an overpass killed a driver on Interstate 66 Saturday.
It happened on the eastbound lanes of I-66 at the Cedar Lane overpass near Nutley Street in Fairfax County around 4 p.m on Oct. 28. ... Police say that based on the investigation and witness accounts, a 12-year-old boy jumped from the Cedar Lane overpass and landed on a 2005 Ford Escape that was traveling east on I-66.
Police say the impact of the fall killed the driver, a 22-year-old woman from Olney, Maryland. ... The person from the overpass was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The passenger in the front seat was not injured and steered the car off the interstate. ... Police say the investigation is still ongoing but it is being investigated as a suicide.
