Serious voter roadblocks have been created in WI. Democrats should be working right now to register people, to check and double check the validity of everyone's registration.

I think the problems in Wisconsin should be a lesson to anyone here who bashes the South.

The Republicans have gerrymandered out state and despite many more Democratic votes more Repubs have been elected. Wisconsin's gerrymandering is now before the US Supreme Court. With a majority of conservatives on the Court it is uncertain how we will come out.

I am close to the border, and travel there often. I have used the Monroe Clinic and the hospital.

My oldest daughter did her undergrad work at Lawrence. She lived in Madison for a long time, got her MLS at UW Madison, and played in the Madison Symphony. My mother lives near the Dells, and many of my cousins live in Wisconsin. They are all Democrats.

It is sad to see how that once progressive state has turned purple.

My family has their own theories about how this happened. They see Walker as having a stranglehold on the state, as one of my cousins put it.

My family tells me that people with the skills and the ability to find other jobs are fleeing the state. That can't be good for the Democrats who remain.

Walkers gets huge amounts of money from the Koch brothers. I believe they used Wisconsin as a trial as how to elect Republicans.

My family would also flee but it is difficult to sell a home and move. We would love to move to Minnesota.
