The Christian Post reports:
Michael Hiskey, Liberty Universitys senior director of academic planning and operations who also serves as a business professor at the popular evangelical Christian University in Lynchburg, Virginia, remained in jail Wednesday on charges of attempted murder, abduction and kidnapping as well as assault and battery of his wife.
Hiskey, 27, was booked into the Blue Ridge Regional Jail on Nov. 4 stemming from an incident the same day. He was denied bond in Lynchburg Juvenile & Domestic Relations Court last week but at a court hearing Tuesday, he was granted a $50,000 bond on condition that he stay out of Virginia except for court appearances.
An official at the Blue Ridge Regional Jail confirmed with The Christian Post Wednesday morning that Hiskey was still locked up and if no one posts his bail, he is likely to remain in custody until Feb. 4, when he is set to appear in court again.

OK, I guess it is within the realm of human possibility that the guy is an absolute fuckin' genius at planning and operations and also has somehow managed to gain enough experience in business to be a professor, but...
I think it is MUCH more likely that they don't give a fuck who they hire as long as they present the right "face" for the scam...i mean "university". And I think this incident (attempted murder, abduction, kidnapping, assault and battery) helps prove my case.
My PSA for the day: Friends don't let friends attend Liberty University.

(5,017 posts)He's also probably an alum which partly explains how he got a senior position. However, I will point out that my father had his PhD in Chemistry and was a professor (after a post doc) in that field at the age of 28. He probably only needed an MBA to serve as a business "professor" (business schools are often more lax about those things compared to other departments) - which he could easily have by 25 or earlier if he went to a school with an accelerated BA/MBA program.
