"At least 11 people were killed and six people injured by a shooter who was shot and killed by police at the city's Municipal Center in Princess Anne on Friday afternoon, Virginia Beach police Chief Jim Cervera said.

.....

The shooter was a current employee, Cervera said. There were victims on multiple floors of the building.

Dale Gauding, a Sentara spokesman, said in an email that five patients went to Virginia Beach General, and one person has arrived at the Level I Trauma Center at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital at 6:13 a.m. in a Nightingale helicopter.

Master Police Officer Allen Perry confirmed there was a shooter in the Operations building next door to City Hall, which is near the intersection of Princess Anne Road and Nimmo Parkway." (More at link)

said his gun was a useful tool, I told him that next week someone will do a mass killing with your useful tool.

Of course it happens every week so it wasn’t hard to do.

During the Pulse Nightclub massacre I talked to a lot of film crews about being there. All said they were their b/c of the record number of deaths. News is news, Here we go again, more deaths b/c of peckerwoods with guns.

VIRGINIA BEACH — The man who shot and killed 12 people at a municipal building here Friday was identified as a 15-year employee of the city Department of Public Utilities, and all but one of his victims were city employees, authorities announced Saturday. ... DeWayne Craddock, 40, of Virginia Beach, was an engineer who served as a project manager and contact for a number of utility projects, according to posts on the Virginia Beach website.

Virginia Beach City Manager Dave Hansen solemnly read the names of each of the victims at the outset of a news conference Saturday morning, saying all, except for one person who was a contractor seeking a permit, worked for the Department of Public Works and the Department of Public Utilities.

They were listed as Virginia Beach residents Tara Welch Gallagher, Mary Louise Gayle, Alexander Mikhail Gusev, Katherine A. Nixon, Ryan Keith Cox, Joshua A. Hardy, Michelle “Missy” Langer and Herbert “Bert” Snelling; Chesapeake residents Laquita C. Brown and Robert “Bobby” Williams; Norfolk resident Richard H. Nettleton; and Powhatan resident Christopher Kelly Rapp. ... “They leave a void we will never be able to fill,” Hansen said. ... Four wounded victims remained hospitalized in serious condition as of Saturday morning.
....

Craddock seemed to play an active role in the Department of Public Utilities. .... Court records show only a single traffic offense on his record in Virginia Beach. Old Dominion University officials said he was a 2002 graduate with a degree in civil engineering.
