1. That's HORRIBLE. It's also where Chicago really is stepping up

Mayor Lightfoot is coordinating with the Greater Chicago Food Depository, Salvation Army, Catholic Charities and United Way. They have amassed 13 million dollars from donors for food for anyone who needs it in our city.

All of the city hospitals are also being heavily coordinated with daily calls from all of the CEOs to get the best plan and know where the needs are.

And the kids who were getting food in school are having it delivered three days worth at a time.

are picking them up at the school parking lot.

3. I was surprised by the student had to be there requirement in some states

I think they believe people without kids will pick up a lunch for themselves. But really if they are going to sit in a car in line to get a lunch, maybe they need it. I think they should just trust the driver and give out lunches requested.
