1. I watched it

The first in a series and I’ll just say this..the parallels of the 1930’s n what’s been going on these last few years is shocking. We have all said that this is repeating history but when you watch how one thing after another happened, one could imagine it being a current news program.

2. All the familiar elements can be recognized,

the rise of a narcissist dictator- authoritarian, the growth of a public swayed by extremist propaganda and hero worship and the toppling of democracy.

If someone had told me 20-30 years ago this would be happening now, I wouldn't have believed it. But in the last 4-5 years I sensed the force of ultra right currents built on 30 years of momentum and ideology.

The damage done by Nazi propaganda via radio broadcasts, newspapers and and film was so massive that after WWII, in 1949 the US created the Fairness Doctrine to regulate news media.

If something isn't done to counter Hate Media in the US after all these years I don't know what will become of the country.
