Dow Constantine calls on businesses, individuals to slow the spread of COVID-19
King County Executive Dow Constantine asked businesses Wednesday to allow their employees to work from home to slow the spread of novel coronavirus.
The ask is not a mandate but a precaution the county wants to take to keep the number of cases, now at 31 within King County, low.
“To be clear, we are neither requiring or mandating additional steps to minimize this outbreak,” Constantine said during a Wednesday press conference. “(But) the more we slow down the spread of this virus, the more we slow down the disease, the greater the chances of keeping people healthy (and) of saving lives.”
Public Health — Seattle & King County recommended several guidelines to slow the spread of the disease that has killed 10 people across the state and one in California as of Wednesday.
