Worker at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard tests positive for coronavirus
BREMERTON — A worker at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard has tested positive for novel coronavirus.
It's the first positive test for a worker at Kitsap County's largest employer. But shipyard commander Capt. Diana Wolfson said in an email to workers that the employee had been traveling and was on leave and hadn't been at the shipyard since March 10.
Wolfson said public health officials "will conduct a complete investigation into those identified as having close personal contact with the individual."
"We will continue to evaluate the situation and assess the need for any further actions," she said.
