Gov. Jay Inslee ordered Washingtonians to stay in as much as possible and closed social-gathering places like restaurants, coffee shops and gyms in an attempt to slow the spread of COVID-19. Other states are following Washingtons lead and closing schools and ordering various social-distancing measures. Residents of several counties in Californias Bay Area, meanwhile, have been ordered to shelter in place.
Several Washington marijuana business owners say fears that a lockdown like the one in San Francisco could occur in Seattle are driving people into the stores.
