Washington state reporting 12,494 COVID-19 cases, 692 deaths

The Washington State Department of Health reported 212 new COVID-19 cases and 10 additional deaths Wednesday.

Statewide case totals have reached 12,494, while the state’s death toll is now at 692, up from 12,282 cases and 682 deaths Tuesday.

King County continues to be the hardest hit, reporting 5,427 cases and 379 deaths, while Snohomish County has reached 2,188 cases and 100 deaths, and Pierce County has 1,236 cases and 40 deaths.

Of the state’s 39 counties, all but Garfield County have reported cases, with Benton (348), Clark (284), Franklin (212), Grant (144), Island (160), King (5,427), Kitsap (140), Pierce (1,236), Skagit (271), Snohomish (2,188), Spokane (317), Whatcom (280) and Yakima (851) all reporting more than 100 cases.
