The Bratt family lives on the property, and Darrell's children have grown up under the light glow of a large screen casting films across a large parking space for onlooking visitors.
Of course, in wake of the novel coronavirus, all drive-in theaters across Washington were ordered to close months ago.
Though drive-in church services were recently permitted, and food-to-go is entirely legal, Bratt was caught by surprise when he realized drive-in theaters remained in the realm of indoor theaters when it came to reopening permissions.
Indoor movie theaters aren't permitted to open until Phase 3 of governor Inslee's 4-phase plan, which makes the potential for any theater to reopen around a month away, at best.
