Wash. businesses can offer one alcoholic drink to vaccinated customers for a limited time

OLYMPIA, Wash. – In an effort to encourage vaccinations, the Liquor and Cannabis Board is now allowing Washington state businesses to offer one alcoholic drink to customers that show proof of a vaccination for a limited time.

The LCB says if a business choose to do so, they can give one drink free of charge to customers that provide proof of vaccination. The allowance is in effect until June 30.

Ads and promotional material on the giveaway cannot use the words “free” or complimentary” but they can say the drink will be purchased on the customer’s behalf with proof of vaccination, the LCB says.
