Freezing rain. F*ck!

I hate this shit.

I burn wood for heat, so each spring I cut down a few trees here on my property for that purpose. I very much prefer doing the selection myself rather than having mother nature choose for me. The tops of the trees break out, rendering them worthless for anything but firewood.

and the rain just began falling, about five minutes ago. It never got above 26 degrees, all day yesterday, so the only precip we've gotten was more snow. It's been in the twenties this whole week, here.

With all of the snow we have up here, I think we've missed a major disaster here in skagit this week, as far as iced and fallen trees are concerned. Our snow was still light and powdery until just a bit ago.

Now for the floods...
