Reproductive rights rallies were held from Everett to Seattle to Olympia today in support of a womans right to choose.
The rally in the states capital was personal for the woman who organized it. She says she would have died if she hadnt been able to have an abortion years ago.
Now she is here fighting for the right of others to choose, too.
They came with their signs and their stories, here to send a message that the decision to terminate a pregnancy belongs to the woman. The issue was brought into sharp relief most recently by a Texas law that severely restricts a womans right to an abortion.
When Texas did what they did, Ive always said I kind of jump rope, said Tawney Thayer. I play double-dutch with the line of passion and anger.

Hundreds rally for abortion rights in Everett Womens March
EVERETT At least 400 people marched along Everett Mall Way on Saturday in support of womens reproductive freedom, fearful that those rights could soon be limited by conservative judges and lawmakers.
The demonstrators walked nearly three miles, from the mall parking lot to 4th Avenue West and back. Passing cars honked. Drivers waved.
One sign said, If men could get pregnant, abortions would be available at Jiffy Lube. Another had the slogan, We need to talk about the elephant in the womb, with an image of the Republican Party mascot inside a hand-drawn uterus. Masks and t-shirts blazoned portraits of the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who championed womens rights.
I want to see us equalized to men, said 13-year-old Jasmine Giles, a student at Voyager Middle School To be treated as regular human beings and be able to make our own choices without someone telling us that theyre wrong.
