In no time at all, Climate Pledge Arena will soon welcome concertgoers and an electric Kraken fanbase.
Before would-be guests can get inside, they will have to show proof of vaccination and theres only one way to go about doing it.
Partnering with CLEAR, Climate Pledge Arena will require anyone attending an event to download the companys Health Pass to their phone. From there, users will select Climate Pledge Arena from a list of venues and then take a photo of their ID and vaccination card. Finally, a selfie will complete the process giving a QR code that will be scanned once at the ticketing gate.
I was just on the site for a walkthrough and were ready, said Climate Pledge Arena Assistant General Manager Don Graham.

This is the same app the Seahawks use. It requires you to take a photo of your vaccine card and one of your face. It uses face recognition after that to sign on.

(27,793 posts)Of course, with the price of Seahawks and Kraken tickets, I'm sure everyone who goes to the games has a smart phone but it should not be a requirement.

(27,793 posts)I don't think people should have to have smart phones to do things. It's obnoxious. There's more to this than the vaccine thing, IMHO.
We went to a Mariners' game this year and just getting in was a chore. You can't park without an app. They wanted us to download an app for our tickets. That app didn't work so we had to go to customer service. It took for frickin' ever. I got there really early and we almost missed the start of the game.
