High wind causing power outages around Puget Sound

Thousands of customers in Western Washington are without power Sunday due to high winds from the weekend storm.

Puget Sound Energy’s outage map shows 178 outages affecting more 44,696 customers as of 10 a.m.

Seattle City Light is showing 15 outages affecting 379 customers as of 10 a.m.

The wind will continue throughout Sunday into Monday and power restoration is expected to be slow.

High winds are expected across western Washington Sunday into Monday.

Eastside Fire & Rescue says two people died when a tree fell on their car in the 7700 block of Preston Fall City Rd SE.

The King County Sheriff's Office is now investigating.

Over 150,000 homes were without power as of Sunday afternoon.

right now in the South Sound. Although the wind is starting to pick up.

So far, power is on and no flickering yet.
