Law enforcement is investigating after smash-and-grab thieves targeted multiple cars at two trailheads in Clallam County.
The Clallam County Sheriffs Office said thieves broke out the windows of six cars parked at the Olympic Discovery Trails Strait View Drive trailhead on Tuesday.
Bank cards were missing from one car, law enforcement said.
Deputies said Sequim police were called near the Olympic Discovery Trails Whitefeather Way trailhead, where two cars were broken into.

(107,900 posts)This is the first time I've heard of this in a while. It's usually advised not to leave anything of value visible in your vehicle.
Our second car was stolen and vandalized so often, we had to sign it over to the towing company. It is so discouraging. Police in Washington won't do anything about property crime. This was a financial setback for us. It is so horrible. Car theft and vandalism in Seattle is such an issue that I am in perpetual fear something will happen to our remaining car. I generally use transit, but my partner needs a car to get to work. (And don't get me started on the negative changes to my commute with the advent of light rail).

I don't keep much of value in my truck, but I'd be POd if they took my jumper cables.
