Woman killed after getting trapped between train, platform at Mount Baker rail station
Sound Transit has resumed light rail service after it was suspended following the the death of a woman killed Sunday after became trapped between a train and platform at the Mount Baker transit stop, authorities said.
Crews were called to the 3000 block of Rainier Avenue S. around 1:30 p.m.
The incident prompted officials to close both sides of the station while officials investigated the woman's death. Train service resumed about two hours later.
The incident prompted officials to halt train service between Beacon Hill, Mount Baker and Columbia City, transit officials said.
