Western Washington air quality 'moderate' amid smoky skies but expected to improve

An upper-level pressure wave is moving through on Monday, bringing more clouds, higher humidity and even a few sprinkles.

Most of the area will not see any rain but more clouds early on with showers in the mountains.

Air quality is mostly in the moderate range for most of western Washington and will continue to improve throughout the day.

There are a handful of monitoring stations, especially farther north, where the air quality is in the unhealthily for sensitive groups range, but air quality in those areas should improve as well.

We do have some moisture in the atmosphere. It doesn't look like it is reaching the ground but we are at 88% relative humidity. Quite a change from the rh's in the teens that we were seeing last week and this weekend.
