Where is Jay Inslee on the coal ports?

Last edited Sat Nov 9, 2013, 08:33 PM - Edit history (1)

Has he made a statement? Jobs vs. Carbon Apocalypse. Washington is the keystone state. To move 538 billion tons of coal from Montana and Wyoming to China, they have to come through us(538 billion tons of coal), either down the Columbia or through Puget Sound. I would hate to see that happen. Inslee has been quiet about all this, listening probably, but he's got to come out. The Premier up in B.C. likes big energy. She just agreed to and oil port up the Georgia Strait at Kitimat and there's talk about a coal port in Vancouver. But that 538 billion tons of coal is coming right through here. Inslee really is a key guy. He has to do the right thing here. There's a lot riding on it for all of us.

you are right - this is huge for the state. Frankly, I think our only hope are the tribes.

They won't even cover the coal. What they save in not covering will be paid - and then some - in the illnesses and environmental damage they generate.
