The more you know about whos spending money to support a candidate, the more you know about what to expect from them.
Seattle voted for district elections on the premise that more local representation would bring our elected officials closer to the people they represent. But now big businesses, chain restaurants & hotels, landlords, realtors, and other lobby groups are pumping big bucks $200,000 and counting into Seattle City Council races.
The Director of Ethics & Elections says it's more money on independent expenditures than he has seen in Council races in his 11 years on the job. Find out where it's coming from and where it's going
