Odd sight in Port Townsend Bay today

Saw Coast Guard and military bringing in a sub to Indian Island to off or on load munitions. I didn't know they did this, thought they just went down to Bangor. It was a small sub and interesting to see, but still, gave me pause.

worked out there yrs back as contractors. If Indian Island (across PT Bay from PT) ever went BOOM, a lot of the town would be gone. Ships coming into Puget Sound drop off their boom materials and pick them back up when they are headed out. Stuff is trucked in/out as well as shipped in/out. But supposedly no nukes, just lots of conventional (what a term) weapons.

But no nukes.

Doing more research, I came up with The Bremerton or one of its sister ships. Not nuke powered, as the nuke powered ones are much bigger than what I saw today.
