Rockwell Collins plans job cuts in Everett as it moves work to the Philippines
More aerospace manufacturing jobs are leaving Washington state.
Rockwell Collins is moving two manufacturing product lines at its Everett factory to the Philippines, the aerospace giant told employees Wednesday.
A third product line in Everett will "eventually" be relocated to Kansas, the Cedar Rapids, Iowa-based company added.
Rockwell-Collins, which is a Boeing Commercial Airplanes supplier, received $84,450 in Washington state aerospace industry tax incentives in 2016, public records show.
Rockwell Collins spokesman Josh Baynes confirmed the offshoring moves.
"In order to better support our customers longer-term production needs and keep similar product lines together, Rockwell Collins has the made the decision to move some of the products that it assembles in Everett to other facilities," Baynes emailed. "The transfer will be complete around September of next year."
