Rain today, sun by Wednesday and 60 degree temps by the weekend. Has spring sprung in Seattle?
If you were anxiously waiting for spring, it appears warmer weather is on the horizon, which makes sense. The season officially starts in a week and a half.
A sunny Monday morning was expected to make way for rain and wind Monday afternoon, which will continue through Tuesday. And, for what feels like the first time in a while, even rain/snow mix is not expected in the lowlands.
This will be just rain, according to a National Weather Service briefing emailed to reporters Monday morning. Up to half an inch is expected in Seattle through Tuesday afternoon, with up to an inch possible in surrounding lowland areas.
Snow could fall at elevations of 2,000 feet or higher, but lowland snow was not expected.
