1. GET REGISTERED
Get registered to vote with your current name, at your current address, at your County
Clerk's office 21 days before Election Day.
To be registered to vote for the November 6th, 2012 general election, you need to
register no later than October 16th, 2012.

2. WHAT TO BRING
If this is your first time voting in a federal election in West Virginia, you may be
asked to present ID prior to voting on Election Day.
Identification may include(but is not limited to):
• A West Virginia driver's license
• Another valid photo ID
• A current utility bill, bank statement, paycheck, or other government
document that shows your current and complete name and address.

If you’ve previously voted in a federal election in West Virginia, you aren’t
required to bring an ID.

3. VOTE!
Election Day is November 6th, 2012. Polls will be open from 6:30
a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time.

VOTE EARLY
West Virginia has early voting from October 24th, 2012 through November 3rd, 2012.
You may vote an early ballot at your county clerk's office during normal business
hours. Early voting will also be available between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Eastern
Time on the last two Saturdays before the general election.

VOTE BY MAIL
You can absentee vote by mail in West Virginia if you meet the specific criteria listed
