Related: About this forumHobby Lobby Protest in Madison (Monona) today
We had a good turnout today for our protest of Hobby Lobby. We spent most of the time out on the corner at the entrance to the mall (public property), but then had a short march up to the front of the store. We stayed there for 10 or 15 minutes or so, and then as we were marching back to the street corner, the cop finally cruised by. There was a lot of support from passersby, but also the expected smattering of head-shakers, bird-flippers and hecklers. A couple of shoppers dangled their Hobby Lobby bags out of their car windows to prove their support for mysogyny.

An old joke asks what the last thing a redneck says before an accident is. "Hey! Watch this!"

(20,816 posts)this and I hope to see many more protests like this throughout the country. Unfortunately, one of the few HL's in my state, and the nearest one to me, is in a blood-red, deep red city in a deep red state and I'd be lucky to get maybe ten people together for it. And the reactions would probably be far uglier and more violent, sad to say.

(10,597 posts)... at least tomatoes and raw eggs. Heck, maybe guns! Hey, but here's something you all could do: Get a big box of rubbers and distribute them all over the store where customers will find them. WEAR PLASTIC GLOVES so your prints won't be detected. If you've got 10 volunteers to help you, the job would be over in no time.

Maybe it was posted on here (don't come on everyday). Is there some sort of Liberal Woman FB page in Madison or something like that? I know a lot of women who would have shown up!
As for the Hobby Lobby bag shakers - just wave your coat hanger. Let them explain THAT to their daughters.
