PEWAUKEE, WI (WTAQ) - Governor Scott Walker said Thursday that his voters need to show up at the polls to counter what he called a liberal state capital that's driven by anger.

At an appearance in Pewaukee, the Republican Walker quoted former Governor Tommy Thompson's remark that "Anger is a greater motivation than love."

In Walker's words, "There are a lot of people who love what we've done across the state. There are many people in Madison who are angry, and they're going to vote no matter what."

The governor continued: "We have got to make sure that people who love what we do understand they have to come out just as strong. If they do, we'll win this election." ............

to lack of funding for their school district. Seems they are in dire straights but afraid to raise property taxes least they ruffle feathers. Walker really has set teachers and other public workers up as the devils!!

I do hope some brave person will bring it up to him--if indeed open to the public.

I am constantly amazed by the Walker ads and the letters to the editor submitted by his supporters. No matter what negative national jobs numbers are released the fantasy scripts are followed.

What part of "last" or "near the bottom" don't they understand? Instead, they go back to the administration of Gov. Jim Doyle and its struggles with the national recession left by former President George Bush.

a greater occurrence of the words "lynch", "bludgeon", "guillotine", as well as the phrases "removal of trace evidence" and "shallow grave" in conversations about Mr. Walker lately.

It does give me a warm fuzzy in the pit of my stomach (although that could well be the early onset of a stress ulcer) every time Snotty says "liberal Madison". The population of Wisconsin is currently estimated at 5,746,206. Madison has just over 233,000 people. How 1/24th of the population could drag the rest so far left they are in danger of plunging off some imagined cliff; I couldn't guess. But, well done Madison.
