Gov. Scott Walker signed a contentious bill Wednesday that helps developers win wetland construction

achieving one of Republican lawmakers' key goals for this legislative session.
Walker signed the measure to a standing ovation at a Wisconsin Realtors Association meeting in Madison. The governor said the bill balances economic growth and wetland preservation.
"The two can go hand-in-hand," Walker said.
A host of Wisconsin business groups, including the realtors association and Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce, pushed hard for the new law, saying it would boost expansion and job creation efforts. Environmentalists countered that the state stands to lose untold acres of wetlands, which would destroy fragile ecosystems and open the door to widespread flooding.

It will probably happen quicker everywhere else because the lessons have been learned.

I suggest you look carefully at the P.A.C. contributions. In Florida they pooled money in the real estate business in an inappropriate way, they also have private organizations which politically smooze with elected officials which block out the public.

Also expect to find co-operative behavior among the lawyers. Watch, especially, the lawyers who advise homeowners. If you set up a regulatory agency where people can air their concerns and complaints and get whistle blower protections, you just might avert the disaster which exists in Florida today.

The Bar does not work.
