Assembly Republicans win largest majority in 50+ years. Yikes, guess this says it all.....

The Republican Assembly Campaign Committee (RACC) is proud to announce that Wisconsin voters have overwhelmingly supported conservative Assembly candidates across the state. The result is the strongest GOP majority in the Assembly since 1957.
“Voters clearly want lower taxes and less government,” said Jennifer Toftness, Executive Director, RACC. “Republicans have a strong mandate to lead the Assembly and the state of Wisconsin.”
When the Wisconsin State Assembly returns in January, Assembly Republicans will hold 63 seats. The GOP won 15 of the open Assembly seats and beat three Democratic incumbents. Representative-elect Romaine Quinn (R-Rice Lake) defeated Rep. Stephen Smith (D-Shell Lake), Representative-elect Nancy Vander Meer defeated Rep. Amy Sue Vruwink (D-Milladore), and Representative-elect Dave Heaton defeated Rep. Mandy Wright (D-Wausau).
Every Republican incumbent won re-election and GOP candidates captured every open seat held by a Republican last session.
“I couldn’t be more proud of the hard work of every candidate, campaign worker and volunteer,” said Speaker Robin Vos (R-Rochester). “This was a conservative team victory lead by Governor Walker that should be celebrated across the state.”
“We are truly humbled by the amazing Republican turnout and the widespread support from voters in these unprecedented victories,” Speaker Vos added. “We look forward to passing our conservative agenda and delivering on our campaign promises of growing the economy and reforming government.”
The inauguration of the 102nd Wisconsin State Legislature is January 5, 2015.

Then they have the gawd d*mn balls to end this stupid *ss statement with a Vince Lombardi quote..... “The achievements of an organization are the results of the combined effort of each individual.” Vince Lombardi

Give me a bucket, I'm gonna hurl......

it's always an off year election. If we don't win the Gov in 2018 then we have no chance of taking the State House or Senate for another 10 years due to gerrymandering.

We are turning the rednecks of the North.

And I'm not being "a dick" to Democrats. Unless they voted for Scotty. The repubs that did vote for him, fuck them, they deserve all the 3rd world shit they have coming. The rest should move.

I sure ain't on the same team that hid from the issues and tried to be the lesser of two evils. Fuck that crap.

The governmental worker unions which had survived 10 will now come under attack (Police and Fire Fighters), as was planned from the start.
Women will lose even more rights to their own bodies.
Alec will have a bill-gasum on our collective faces.

We will settle for less and less and be told it's great.
The out of state millions spent on elections here will generate billions to the out of state donors.
Real education and opportunities will plunge. If you aren't already middle class, you most likely never will be. Those of us who are middle class, will be systematically reduced back to peasant class.

Gone are the days when it didn 't matter what community you settled in, you had good schools to send your children to. In another 4 years. Our public school system will be in a shambles. The best schools will be in Dem areas where referenda will pass.

And don't get me started on the giant job suck WI will be.

But the good news is that if you are a corporation or a billionaire, WI will be a great place to live.

Which is an added draw. Minneapolis is the last large city that still has a decent standard of living. Has a huge amount of public park lands within the city, with bike trails and stuff. Nice mass-transit, good hospitals, art museums, the Minnesota Symphony, and the Guthrie Theatre. You can fly out from MSP to any other area of the country or other countries easily (our family is far-flung).

The state is much more progressive than Wisconsin! Just as beautiful as far as lakes and forests, the Mississippi, the Northwoods.

People worry about the cold winters, but studies show that the weather does not affect a person's overall happiness. Anyway we are used to winter here! Would not want to live somewhere that has no winter.

So my daughter constantly points out to us what's to like about the Twin Cities and it is looking good.
