Listless Democratic Party of Wisconsin resembling more a frat house clique than a political Party?

I hope not....

I haven't read much about the three or four people running, but this link says it's getting some traction that I have not been aware of... Anyone have a thought about this:

"Next month's Democratic Party of Wisconsin Convention on June 5,6 will either spell a rebound for the once-proud Dems or a continuation of Mike Tate's reward-incompetence clique.

The Convention will elect a new Chair with his or her six-figure salary.

Dom Noth has a piece on the let's-keep-Mike Tate crowd and Mike Tate's heir apparent in failure—Jason Rae.

One hopes Dems have enough sense to realize the true dangers of Scott Walker and the imperative to elect a Dem as Chair who knows how to win—Joe Wineke (and a few others who are not Jason Rae)."

Tate's failures are epic - losing to Scott Walker three times and wasting the energy and enthusiasm 30,000 recall-Walker volunteers brought to the table. That group should have been the engine that powered the state party for a generation. Instead, Tate ignored them after the recall and lost all that they had offerred.

We need smart and dynamic leadership...leadership that can inspire and leave all the baggage of the past (except for Walker's failures of course) behind....

To vote at the convention you must (1) be a party member (pay the dues, which start at $10/year limited income, $25 general, $35 pairs) and (2) be a delegate. (The deadline to pay dues in time to be a delegate is May 22 at 5 pm.)

The deadline to become a delegate is May 15 at 5 pm (that's next week!). Contact your county party chair and ask to be put on the delegate list; contact information here. There are quotas for the different geographic areas that depend on how many Democratic votes were cast in a prior election, and there are plenty of seats to go around in Milwaukee and Madison but not as many outstate, so do this soon. If you can be a delegate, also register for the convention and pay the $25 fee by the May 15 deadline (after that it goes up to $35).

(I think all these procedures are unnecessarily complicated, and anybody who is a bona fide Democratic Party member should be able to be a delegate, but that's not the way it's done for now.)
