Walker's Loss is Barrett's Gain - Police Association Endorses Barrett

Madison – In the wake of Scott Walker’s infamous hug and kiss – Divide and Conquer (Caught on tape) episode with billionaire Diane Hendricks back last January, it appears the division is coming from those who previously endorsed him.

The West Allis Professional Police Association today announced its endorsement of Tom Barrett in the race for Wisconsin governor, reversing their support of Scott Walker in 2010 after seeing the governor's 'divide-and-conquer' style over the past 16 months

The entire fallout from the latest billionaire confessions has yet to be seen, but there seems to be a growing number of former Walker supporters about to get behind Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett. Scott Walker’s relationship with those with large sums of money has been well documented. Initially, the public only knew of the fake “David Koch” phone call that came at the height of the Madison protests, and now this explicit acknowledgement of turning Wisconsin into a one party state as well as a right-to-work state.

Walker knows he is in serious political trouble and came out firing today in a denial to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, saying he doesn’t support right-to-work legislation. I think the police union have finally learned the lesson of when there's smoke - there's fire.

They definitely got burnt by Walker on this one.

“Scott Walker has plunged our state into political turmoil with his ‘divide and conquer’ style of governing, and Wisconsin is tired of it. More alarming is how Walker says in public what he thinks the people want to hear, but then reveals his true colors to the conservative billionaires bankrolling his campaign. We cannot trust what Scott Walker says, and we can’t fix Wisconsin and stop our massive job loss if we keep Scott Walker as governor.”
