Scott Walker vs. Martin Luther King

Definition of irony: On January 17, 2011--clearly knowing he was just about to "drop the bomb" (his own words) on Wisconsin's public workers--Gov. Walker attended the annual Capitol ceremony in honor of the civil rights leader assassinated in Memphis while trying to secure collective bargaining rights for that city's sanitation workers. So, will Walker add insult to injury by showing up at this year's MLK ceremony, or be conveniently out of town attending some Koch Brothers fundraiser?--stay tuned!

(HA, not the same as, "some people say...&quot

that he's scheduled to do a "jobs event" in Superior tomorrow. That doesn't mean he can't zip back to Madison, of course, so we're ready to greet him!

I was told that the Governor of Wisconsin has attended the MLK event in the Capitol every one of the past thirty-three years. What a shame. I don't want him anywhere near the place, but I'm anxious for next year, when we'll have a Governor who will bring dignity to the office.
