Gov. Walker gets new campaign team

Madison -- Gov. Scott Walker has picked the executive director of the state Republican Party as his new campaign manager and leader of a new political team.
Though no Democrat has yet to announce a run against Walker in the wake of his successful recall election in June 2012, the Republican governor is already putting a group of political aides in place for his 2014 re-election bid.
Stephan Thompson, deputy campaign manager of Walker's 2010 bid, will leave his post at the Republican Party of Wisconsin to join Walker's re-election campaign on March 1. Joe Fadness, the party's current political director and himself a former Walker aide, will take over Thompson's state GOP post.
Keith Gilkes, the campaign manager for Walker's 2010 election campaign and his recent recall, will continue to serve as an unpaid advisor to the governor's campaign, spokeswoman Nicole Tieman said....
