Toronto mayor photographed reading while driving on Gardiner Expwy.

http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/toronto/toronto-mayor-rob-ford-caught-reading-behind-the-wheel-shrugs-it-off/article4480505/

Mayor Rob Ford is once again being criticized for his behaviour behind the wheel, this time for apparently reading while driving on the Gardiner Expressway Tuesday morning.

A Twitter user by the handle of @ryanghaughton tweeted a picture of Mr. Ford holding up a sheaf of papers while in the driver’s seat of his Cadillac Escalade.

... The mayor shrugged off the incident when asked about it at a news conference Tuesday to officially announce a trade mission to Chicago.

Was that him behind the wheel? "Yeah, probably. I’m busy," he said. "Trying to catch up on my work. You know, keep my eyes on the road, but I’m a busy man."

In America the mayors of big cities not only have drivers and cars provided, they need security, a press agent, a lawyer, and a scapegoat riding with them all the time.
Now that's not to say if they need personal services from a sex professional or maybe want to conduct a self inflicted chemical lobotomy they might drive themselves to the local drug dealer or perhaps a dark corner late at night. Mostly they get taken everywhere while they are taking us to the cleaners. In L.A. that guy not only has a car and driver, he has the police department escort him, to dodger stadium, where ever.
You see in America we have "Professional Politicians" and the best government money can buy. You guys need to straighten up and see the light, corporations are our friends they only want whats best for us. Lawyers are the best politicians they can make ANYTHING legal, just give them enough money and time.

even more-so because of his response. An 8 y/o girl died here last weekend, her mom was texting while driving on one of our pothole filled roads. Who is Ford going to kill before he can get how selfish and dangerous this kind of distraction is. What an asshole.
