Someone said on a thread about Trudeau hitting back at a
protester during a speech to support Ukraine that the Liberals were to the right of Democrats. This is not true. Liberals like public health care, mixed market capitalism, social wellfare, promotion of civil society and good governance. They want to grow the middle class. The New Democratic Party, far left, does come up with ideas that Liberals steal when they are in power and implement. Right now they are in a coalition. I would argue that even the Conservatives in Canada can be to the left of Democrats at times in their history. Right now they pander to the far right and end up having to apologize to the general public when they meet with actual nazis. Just wanted to clear that up as I got distracted and did not speak up in the OP on Trudeau.
