Been noticing lots of drug addicts fare jumping on buses. Sometimes they say thanks

to the drivers. I'm wondering if this is bus policy in the market drug addicted area of downtown Ottawa? If that is policy it is pretty good. Save on pan handling. Saves lives by easy access to safe injection sites. Save on crimes. Maybe it is informal. Maybe it is not part of a wider pattern. I hope it is a sign of government coming together to help people in crisis.

No way Doug Ford is showing any sympathy (or common sense) when it comes to those who require social welfare, even though his brother's history related to addictions is well known.
