Personally I think it'd look great on billboards around election time, with quotes about transparency, and not recognizing Canada in 5 years, etc.

The outrage would go in an entirely different direction, I suspect.
I realize the purpose is mockery, but I don't know if this is the most effective way to do that.

I suppose this is the new form of "outrage". Just like Mayor Ford when he was presented as nude in a newspaper, it is done in bad taste and ultimately it is not very constructive. Freedom of expression? I suppose, but these rules are certainly only applicable to some and not others, wouldn't you agree?
To each their own. It may even raise a few giggles, but such paintings aren't going to improve our economy.
