My condolences.

Even though there were many reasons Leave ended up with a million-vote plus plurality, the result is a victory for fear, suspicion and a rejection of the present in favor of a past that never really existed.

i hope there will be anti-xenophobia, anti-hatred rallies being organized in the next few days.

...will be the key.

The youngsters, especially the educated ones, will undoubtedly be absolutely livid about this. They will feel that their futures have been sold down the river by an older generation?

Expect demonstrations?

The second group is the age cohort that voted most heavily for Leave.

seems to be that the older voters turned out in large numbers. The youngsters not so much.

Though I haven't, so far, seen any hard data to confirm this.

You can see the area's with a higher median age were more pro-Leave. A strong correlation with educational qualifications too (university degree being pro-Remain), and income and 'social grade' too (you'd expect those to correlate with qualifications).

My children's grandparents voted Brexit for, in my opinion, the most base reasons - and are now boasting about it.

I'm having trouble being civil.
