Ronald William Fordham Searle, CBE, RDI, (born 3 March 1920, died 30 December 2011

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ronald_Searle

British cartoonist Ronald Searle, best known for creating the fictional girls' school St Trinian's, has died aged 91.

His daughter Kate Searle told Reuters news agency that he "passed away peacefully in his sleep" in a hospital in France.

Searle's spindly cartoons of the naughty schoolgirls first appeared in 1941, before the idea was adapted for film.

The first movie version, The Belles of St Trinian's, was released in 1954.

I'd had no occasion to click on my own or anyone else's avatar but yes the same thing happens - profile shows.

No - there was no picture which was why I found one and loaded it it. If you can edit my one into yours I'll then delete mine.

As any fule kno this is how the brave clear eyed workers win the export battle and rejoice at the triumph of their bosses

The computer systems I support are a bit like the machine in the picture.

A very sad day that this brilliant cartoonist's pen has been stilled forever

I dug out How To Be Topp for some smiles.
