These men have turned our country into a clown car.

You got a peerage for negotiating it. Disowning it now makes you look ridiculous & the U.K. pathetic. And it’s only six months since @BrandonLewis was lying through his teeth about the border. ‘Untrustworthy’ doesn’t come close. These men have turned our country into a clown car.

They are having a laugh...

Meanwhile, on the ground at home, marching season is under way, bonfires are being piled high and the loyalist communities are in an incredibly angry mood. The unionists and loyalists get to be pissed off IMO. It was always going to have to be a wet border in the Irish sea once Brexit was the referendum result, but this does not negate the level of vulnerability and betrayal these communities feel in both local and national political leaders – DUP and Boris alike.

I wrote at the time of Brexit that the impact on the stability of the peace process was significantly underplayed by the leave team. And now here we are with these absolute fuckers wagging their English nationalist supremacist fingers at Ireland re the GFA and the integrity of the EU border. A deal they hailed as genius as they waived the protocol through Parliament with nary a look at the detail and stability on the island of Ireland be damned.
