Mother tells how she chose between staying in burning car or braving the lions' den with her childre

A mother told how she was forced to make a terrifying decision when her car burst into flames in the middle of a safari park’s lion enclosure.

Helen Clements and her daughter, Charlie, 12, and son George, nine, were enjoying an Easter trip to the Wiltshire attraction.

Their car then overheated and caught fire forcing them to make the life-or-death decision of whether to stay in their vehicle and risk being killed by the flames, or leave and take their chances with the lions who were looking on, just 100 yards away. ...

"It could have been in the flamingos or the camels but no, it had to be in the lion enclosure."

(More at link. The story has a happy ending - but WOW! talk about being caught between the devil and the deep blue sea...)
