Got a text on my cell phone yesterday from RonDeSantis.com/EarlyVoting

which links to Florida Dept. of State and explains how to successfully complete early voting. The text asks all Republicans to vote early for DeSantis because “Andrew Gillum is a radical far-left democrat. His campaign is powered by SOCIALISTS Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Gillum wants to abolish ICE, allow sanctuary cities, add BILLIONS in new FL taxes and defund the police.” I noticed the text earlier today.

My question is, why did I get this text? I don’t live in Florida and I’m not registered as a Republican. Has anyone else received a text from this campaign? I sense the Repubs are desperate.

I generally don’t answer when I get a call from an unrecognized source. But this was a text message and linked right to FL Dept of State, appears legitimate. I won’t respond to the phone number connected to it. So bizarre, this hasn’t happened before.

I say let them be desperate, spend their money and time on nonsense. If each registered voter would use reason and a clear conscience then “good” will prevail. Their tactics have no effect on me. They’re not even deserving of my attention at this point.

They aren’t going for accuracy if they’re sending text messages around the country for a governor’s race in Florida. Typically, their message is meant to ignite feelings of fear and anger in the recipients (unless you have a thinking brain that’s able to process the BS). Glad I’m able to think for myself.
