2020 CO US Senate Election- Andrew Romanoff-D

Andrew Romanoff-D the former Speaker of CO House of Representatives, Democratic candidate for the 2010 CO US Senate Race, and Democratic nominee for the 2014 CO-6CD US House Race has filed paperwork to seek the Democratic nomination for the US Senate in 2020.
Romanoff-D lost the Democratic nomination for the 2010 CO US Senate Race to Michael Bennet-D by a 8.4 percent margin(45.8-54.2). Bennet-D defeated Ken Buck-R in the November General Election by a 1.7 percent margin.(48.1-46.4).
Could Romanoff-D have defeated Buck-R in the 2010 CO US Senate Race if he had been the Democratic nominee?
Romanoff-D lost the 2014 CO-6 US House Race to Mike Coffman-R by a 8.9 percent margin(43.0-51.9).
CO-6 was redrawn into a swing district in the 2010 Census.
Coffman-R won the 2012 CO-6 US House Race against Joe Miklosi-D by a 2 percent margin(47.8-45.8).
Coffman-R won the 2014 CO-6 US House Race against Romanoff-D by a 8.9 percent margin(51.9-43).
Coffman-R won the 2016 CO-6 US House Race against Morgan Carroll-D by a 8.3 percent margin(50.9-42.6).
Coffman-D lost the 2018 CO-6 US House Race against Jason Crow-D by a 11.2 percent margin(42.9-54.1).
2014 and 2016 were a Republican wave election years. 2018 was a Democratic wave election year.
Cory Gardner-R won the 2014 CO US Senate Race against Mark Udall-D by a 1.9 percent margin(48.2-46.3).
CO in 2020 will be more Democratic friendly than it was in 2014. CO-6 is a Tossup Democratic District +2D PVI
Romanoff-D could defeat Gardner-R in 2020. Both Statewide and in CO-6.

Likely Democratic candidates for the 2020 CO US Senate Race is:
Hickenlooper-D- seeking the Democratic nomination for President.
Perlmutter-D dropped out of the 2018 CO Governors Race in favor of Polis. Perlmutter-D is not favorable to the Democratic Base.
Neguse-D and Crow-D were just elected to the US House in 2018. The likelihood of Neguse-D and Crow-D pulling a Jacky Rosen(D-NV) running for the US Senate after 1 term in the US House is 50-50.
Primavara-D, Griswold-D, Young-D and Weiser-D is unlikely to leave their current jobs they were elected to in the middle of their term.
Crisanta Duran, Mike Johnston, or Joe Salazar will be the likely Democratic nominee for the 2020 CO US Senate Race.

Republican held US Senate seats up in 2020 such as CO(Gardner-R), ME(Collins-R), AZ(whoever Ducey-R appoints), and NC(Tillis-R) are likely to go Democratic.
Democrats will lose AL(Jones-D) unless Republicans nominate Roy Moore-R again but will pick up CO, AZ, and NC which are easy pickups for Democrats. Democrats will pick up ME if Collins-R retires or loses in the Republican primary. Democrats will need to nominate a top tier and electable candidate if Collins(R-ME) is the Republican nominee. Collins(R-ME) won re-election in 2008 against Tom Allen(D-ME) by a 23 percent margin(61.5 to 38.5). 2008 was the Obama Democratic wave election year.
Republican held US Senate seats up in 2020 such as GA(Perdue-R),IA(Ernst-R) and TX(Cornyn-R) are Tossup races.
