Do any DUers have the newly advertised Shark Navigator Swivel Deluxe UV410?

I have a Dyson DC14. Great Vac. I have a serious back, foot and hip problem(getting worse) that now makes the Dyson hard for me to use.

I saw a TV infomercial and have read reviews on line for this Shark machine and all seem to be great. The reviews on-line are all 4 and 5 stars. I think the fact that it comes apart for stairs would be a great use to me. Plus it is a sealed unit. Hepa filter for those with allergies.

Any reviews here? I'd love some first hand info before I buy the unit and sell the Dyson on Craigslist.

I'm not sure where, but I did file that in my brain for future reference. Whoever it was was very happy with it. I'll let you know if I run into the comments again.

On edit: they were talking about a Shark steam cleaner. Oh well.

I can lo longer lift the Dyson...the best Vac I ever had.

As son as the Shark comes, I'll let you know how it stacks up against the Dyson.
I don't want to spend the $$$ but I will get it back if I sell the Dyson on Craigslist.

Yes., I bought the Shark Navigator Swivel Deluxe #UD410) on eBay.
I knew when I bought it that it was a used machine. I paid $65.00 for it, thinking I got a good buy. I have yet to find out.
When the machine came, it was completely filled with plaster dust. Someone had used it for a job fit for a Shop-Vac.
The canister was empty but every other part was caked with plaster dust. I tried to assemble it so I could see if it worked. Had a little trouble. Called the seller. The CRS was very nice..helped me figure out how to set it up. My intention was to see if I could blow out the dust and clean it up before trying to use it.
Wow, switched it on and dust everywhere. Mess. I had told her that I would call the next day for further help. Answering machine for 4 days. No-one called me back. Sent e-mail. No reply.

I was about to do the eBay review thing when I noticed the resolution option.
Filled in all the info about the whole situation. I had made note to eBay that I was not going to bother returning it. Postage from west to east coast would cost more that I paid for the machine.

The problem was resolved within 24 hours. I got a full refund for machine and postage costs.
This machine never should have been sent to anyone. It is a mess. Now sits in my attic. Maybe in the warm weather I can take it outside and try somehow to clean out the caked material in the hose and other parts.

To answer your question. I don't know how it will work and will not know until spring. I have a feeling it will end up in the recycle bin at the dump.

The machine gets good reviews. I made the mistake of buying a 'used', not reconditioned machine. I never expected something like this however.

I will say that the weight is good and the swivel is functional.

try taking it to a gas station (if you don't have a compressor) and blow the dust out with air first, you'll be amazed how much will blow off with a good air compressor.

if you don't have one, i bet there's someone in your neighborhood who does, if not the local gas station should have an air hose

do that before you try anything wet, it will just make the mess worse with water.
