Problem with highlighting and cutting photo properties...etc.

At one time I was able to highlight a photos properties say from e-bay or other places on the net. After highlighting I was able to copy the properties and then paste them into an e-mail or other on-line forum, so people could see the picture. Well its suddenly gone or I changed something that prevents me from doing it. I used to just right click, copy the properties and I was done....

Its pretty frustrating. Somethings wrong but what?.

I run Windows XP...AOL-Chrome- 9.7 beta. I am unable to do it on FOXFIRE also.

Making it harder, (almost impossible) to "copy and paste" photographs for which you were not given full "copy" rights.

Facebook has been doing this for a couple years, so I cannot "copy" an image from my t nephew and send it to my older (non Facebook) sister in an email to her. I used to be able to do this for Facebook photos, I used to be able to do this on other sites that had photos like ebay. No longer.

I may be totally wrong about this, but I think the only things that these sites have done, (Facebook, Ebay, others that publish private photos), is take away PART of the full "properties" data, so that you cannot reproduce or copy them other than to print them on paper. It's something THEY have done, not something wrong with your browser, computer, operating system, or AOL software, etc.

If I am wrong, please correct me. I have assumed that is what Facebook did to make it almost impossible for most photo's appearing there to be digitally reproduced other than to capture and print them on paper.

In this case, I'd love to be told I am totally WRONG, and that it's something I am doing wrong. I would still love to digitally send Facebook pictures in email to family members who are not on Facebook.

Then Right click and "Save Image as"
Click on the black on the Left to go back.
Other sites may take some ingenuity, but there usually is a way. As long as it is not a flash photo.
Worse case is to make the picture fit your screen and do a screen print. Then crop it in your favorite graphics program.

I hope you are right and I am wrong, forever, about this issue.

But I tried that a few times, and on some PUBLIC images, (images from public sites, like maybe the White House), it worked. On my family and friends' photos, it didn't work.
