  1. Have your Grandson convert the file to a more usable format (e.g. PDF) and sent that to you. (Why on earth is he using the Publisher file format to share files in the first place?)

  2. Get one free trial month of Office 365 Home Premium to view it in Publisher and then cancel Office 365 within the month.

  3. Use an online conversion site (e.g. www.zamzar.com ) to save the file in a format that you can use.

My vote is for the first option - mostly to let him know that many people won't be able to view MicroSoft Publisher files.
