Win 7 user logon screen

I have desktop PC Win 7 setup for my spouse and I.
So is there anyway to run a screensaver at the logon screen?
Sometimes we boot up the PC, forget, and leave that screen on that shows our two logon icons.

I think the simplest way would be to set your monitor to shut off after 10 minutes idle. gvstn Feb 2014 #3

Here is a tutorial. I would suggest using Option 1 (Group Policy Editor), because Option 2 (Registry Editor) uses a registry hack, and that can get ugly fast if you are not familiar with modifying registry values:

I'm fairly sure that a screensaver wouldn't be any more energy efficient.

Control Panel>Power Options>Change Power Settings(for your default plan)
Set your monitor to shut off after 5 or 10 minutes idle. This will save your monitor from displaying a particular image for extended periods of time.

I use a fairly generic plan of Turn off display after 10 minutes idel and go to Sleep after 25 minutes idle. It works well for me when I leave my computer for longer than expected.

I can't get it to work anymore. It's a potential security hole. That's likely why they killed it.
