I got this tablet today for giggles and to use while on the road....
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834314451I'll give you the hands-on review after I've used it for a while. The dead tree version of Maximum PC magazine gave it a good rating overall (an 8 out of 10, they very very rarely give out a 10). Using my cell phone for the web SUCKS. Postage stamp sized screen, ugh. I could have gotten an IPhone but I don't care about all the IPhone stuff.
Wish me luck, amigos y amigas.

(37,457 posts)big problem so far is maximizing a browser window. Everything else I can do so far. Will try a pen tip for a stylus since they did not give me one.

(8,543 posts)Normally you can just drag a single finger (or two fingers for some apps/functions) along the screen to scroll.
If something doesn't seem to do what you think it should, Google the app and what you're trying to do - odds are someone on the internets has figured it out and posted an explanation (or a million people will be proclaiming how awful product x is because it can't do foo).
I haven't used Windows on a touch device, so I can't offer any specific help. But I am always amazed at how many basic functions people with smartphones and tablets fail to learn/figure out. Granted some things are not always obvious - but that's what the Google is for. (Or I suppose you could do something crazy like read the manual and/or help section for the product.)
As far as hitting small things, they should be programming objects so they're at least big enough to trigger reliably - but if the stuff is just too tiny, usually it is easy enough to just zoom in closer, hit the damn thing, and zoom out again. I guess it somewhat depends on the app though...

(7,309 posts)It's sold out on your link. I looked at a similar one at your link and it was $599.
Yikes!
I got an Asus 10.1 tablet, with the quad-core atom processor (1.33 GHZ), 32-bit Windows 8.1 64GB SSD with keyboard and Microsoft Home and Student for $349 at Amazon.
The reviews are excellent. I got it a week ago, and I cannot complain about it (other than the keyboard being a bit cramped). The thing is amazing!

(37,457 posts)The one you bought is very similar to mine. I'm pretty happy with mine. I'm learning how to touch type.
