My HP Deskjet has document in queue that can't be deleted

It must be from a site I tried to copy, couldn't, then sent it to myself with deletions, and when the mail came, still couldn't print it, put it in Wordpad, and it still won't print. No other lights are blinking except the main light, which blinks telling me it's getting ready to print - all day if you let it.

Control panel tells me that my printer has this :
"http.www.stopyour'rekillingme....Deleting...Owner....etc."

I've tried printing from Wordpad, but problem solver tells me the document that I can't get rid of in queue is preventing it. I've tried printing other pages, but nothing will print until I clear the queue.

Can't remember how to go back to yesterday to undo damage either.

Not good at computers...

I hesitate to say something - but this is a harmless effort. (I am an old lady with questionable ability. But I have had at least 4 hp printers)
Unplug your printer for 10 minutes then turn back on. GGP

3. I did that & I went to the HP site above.

The Computer guy said to do the same thing, and I went thru countless pages at HP and didn't understand any of them...

One thing I did understand after I attempted to restore a couple of days back is that it had a virus causing the queue to hold on to a document.

It lost the one that it came with, but attached to the one there now, and it won't go away.

I need to have a virus scan if I could find one.

I got the virus when I tried to copy the first page of "Stop You're Killing Me," a popular mystery website. I have given the link to it a hundred times, and never suspected they were so touchy about copying a list...

4. Depending on your OS, you can delete the printer, turn off computer and turn it on.

Computer should install drivers automatically

5. Virus threat removed....AVGVirus Free

I restored my computer to 7/23, I think, and it saved everything because I hadn't downloaded any programs.....except, Java, like HP told me to in the printer directions....and Java said I already had the latest one.....oh well...

But when my computer was done restoring everything, there was a note, forget exactly what it said, that nothing was removed, but a virus had been detected.

So I got on my horse and rode to AVG as fast as hell, went shopping, and when I came back, the threats (2) had been removed....

When the original virus was removed, it left left kids behind on the new printing documents I had put in the queue, and they were removed.

I just successfully printed 2 perfect copies and a couple that had been deleted when the computer thought I really wasn't serious about deleting them.

THANKS TO ALL....if it weren't for the virus, your ideas would have worked.

But I learned something - if your email doesn't work smoothly when you want to send part of a website page, copying and mailing "part" of it won't work. The website owner doesn't take to it.

I'm not sure which browser you are using but there is an old addon for Firefox (only)which I find very useful for taking a picture of a singular webpage rather than trying to copy the text. If you want to copy an article that spans several pages or need clickable URL links in the text than it is not good for that purpose ( you can use it for articles that span several pages if there is a "Print" button on the page that combines the various pages into one). I use it for copying recipe pages rather than trying to copy/paste the recipe instructions into Word or Notepad. Basically it takes a picture of everything on the page and saves it as a picture file rather than text. You can read the picture file at full resolution but not search it or click URLs since it is just a picture file.

If you just want to send someone a picture of a webpage it might work for you. I use it often and find it simpler than other ways to capture what I am reading. Free version is what I use and it really is great.
