(29,414 posts)by the way the triangles are connecting. It's a means of making 3D surfaces, usually in programs like AutoCAD Civil 3D and ESRI's ArcMap. Here's what the linework looks like:
http://docs.autodesk.com/CIVIL/2010/ENU/AutoCAD%20Civil%202010%20User%20Documentation/index.html?url=WS27101fef35e777f918385e3fc0f4991cb-7ff7-process.htm,topicNumber=d0e308313
And the definition for "TIN":
Triangular Irregular Network. A TIN surface is the most common method of interpolating elevation data. The points are connected into triangles that are used to interpolate for contours, and to generate profiles and cross sections. The lines that make up the surface triangulation are called TIN lines.
Now, I looked around for various Google Earth errors that might make this happen and found the following:
https://groups.google.com/a/googleproductforums.com/forum/#!forum/earth
If you look at their "Problems and Errors" section, it appears that the latest update has some serious problems. Yours is likely yet another one. Post to their group (you'll probably have to join) and see what they can tell you. Or see if you have an overlay turned on (such as Terrain) and unclick it. Or, just keep using the older version as you are doing now, until they fix all the bugs. They might still need to know about your error.
Hope that helps!

(41,694 posts)which as I said above suck. Had that problem with a customer's computer that their grandson couldn't play his games on-which weren't even high end.
The specs on the Intel GPU said it did vertex pixel shading with an * afterward. The small print said vertex pixel shading was done by software and not hardware. Stuck in a low end NVidia card and lo and behold, game worked just fine afterwards.
